Homework Policy

Every Monday your child's completed homework will be stapled and sent home. If all homework has been completed then a note will be stapled to the front of your child's packet indicating a successfully completed homework packet. Any homework that has not been completed during the week will be noted on a slip of paper and stapled to the front of the student's homework packet. The slip will note the day and the subject of the homework not turned in. This will allow all concerned to stay aware of their student's progress on a weekly basis. If I notice homework is not being completed during the week, I will contact parents to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

Homework is due the morning after it is assigned. If a student has not completed their homework on time, the student will have until the end of the day to complete the work and still receive credit. Time to complete late homework will be given during recess times. If the previous night's homework is still not completed at the end of the day, the remaining homework will be added to the next evening's homework assignments. If a student shows that they are unable or unwilling to complete homework on time then their parents will be contacted and a meeting will be scheduled to address the issue and to help the student meet their educational needs.
