Pilgrim has been serving the community of Chula Vista since 1942. As a mission congregation, Pilgrim was simply planted where the people are, because God wants to be with people. Here you will find a friendly, family-like atmosphere where the Word of God is taught in its unchangeable truth. As an extension of its mission, Pilgrim Lutheran School opened its doors in 1963. Here you will find a private education of the finest quality but in the unique setting of love and nurture that only comes with the presence of Jesus Christ coming through our faculty, staff, and students. Over all these years, while Chula Vista has changed, God has not. He still wants to be with people. He wants to be with you.
